The Herman Gmeriner Community Center, in the shape of a “Koothanbalam” was built in 1989 and has become a very popular venue for meetings, seminars, workshops, as well as dance and drama performances. The theater and exhibition hall are also open to other schools and communities. Well known artists like Sonal Mansingh, the Dhananjayans, the koothu-pattarai group, etc., have performed here for the children.
